JACK-6 was saved  from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine  JACK-6 is neutered, core vaccines, rabies, heart-worm & tick disease tested negative (he tested positive for enrlichia, but has shown no symptoms, but was given the 30 day antibiotic schedule as a precaution), de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 16 October 2016 and at the time of rescue in December 2019 weighed around 72 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.

JACK-6  arrived at the rescue on Thursday, 19th December and settled in great, he settled into the routine and has been very friendly with everyone. He enjoys chewing on toys and bones and is always happy to great me or anyone when they go into the kennels. He is very responsive, although we don't know if has had any training. He is a stunning, friendly, happy boy.

He is a young boy so an active family is critical to providing Jack with the home he needs. He needs someone who understands the importance of mental stimulation as much as the physical exercise and the family must have the time, commitment and dedication to giving him the life he deserves. I think he would be a great family pet. He has never shown any sign of aggression and with a transition period, training and guidance I feel he would make an amazing family addition.

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW HE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK.

JACK-6 is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.

This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.
