VALENTINE was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services as one of our traditional Anniversary saves. She was scheduled to be killed and was looking up with those beautiful pleading eyes. She had demodex mange that has been treated and needed to gain some weight.
VALENTINE came back to the rescue and her true personality started to shine. Her tail never stops wagging, she runs and plays with the other dogs, she lies as close to the bed as she can do, she walks beside me when I am outside with them all, she gives the sweetest kisses.
VALENTINE is looking for a family that is not prejudice against her breed, she is looking for a family that has friends and goes to wonderful places that just love all of the creatures put on this earth and will take her for the true sweet soul that she is.
VALENTINE is very gentle and loving and I think she would make an excellent family pet. We do not have cats at the rescue so I cannot say how she would behave around cats, but at the rescue she lives with 50 dogs, mainly German Shepherds and a few small dogs and small puppies and just loves them all.
VALENTINE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm negative and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 11 February 2011 and at the time of rescue weighed around 40 pounds, but does need to gain some weight.
VALENTINE is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $170.
Our adoption process and application can be found under the APPLICATION tab.
