PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ ALL THE INFORMATION PROVIDED TO LEARN ALL ABOUT MADDIE,HER LOCATION AND ADOPTION OPTIONS.
MADDIE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm and tick-disease tested negative and micro-chipped, she weighs around 50 pounds and has an estimated date of birth of 13 March 2010
MADDIE was with her foster home in Texas whilst waiting for transport to the safety of the rescue in Sebec. Whilst there she settled in wonderfully, made herself at home and just chilled out with her GSD foster brother and loved all the affection from her temporary family.
Since being at the rescue MADDIE has started to come out of her shell, she is great with the other dogs, although she is not too interested in charging around playing with them. She absolutely loves tennis balls and if she isn't playing with one, she has one close by her side. She is extremely affectionate and is happy to climb up on my chair or lay as close as she can.
MADDIE will benefit from an active family that has the time to work with her in basic and advanced training, she is very responsive and so this should not be difficult and a lot of fun. We encourage families to train the dog together so that everyone can learn each others personalities and body language and expectations and boundaries can be set.
MADDIE rides great in the car, she is happy to either lie down and relax or look out of the window. She would greatly benefit from going on lots of adventures, hiking, camping, trial walking and such, letting her put her senses to work and take in the many sights, sounds and smells the world has to offer
We currently feed a 4* (a per www.dogfoodadvisor.com) GRAIN FREE food along with pro-bioitics and immune support supplements.
We do not have cats at the rescue so we are unable to say how she would react around cats.
MADDIE is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed.
