KAI was saved with her siblings and mother at the age of around 4 weeks old from under a school classroom trailer. Sadly their mother didn't make it, but luckily for the pups they had the GaDaH pack to teach them the ways of being a dog.
KAI grew up to be a stunning, muscular solid black beauty and is now hoping her perfect family will find her.
KAI is great with dogs of all ages and sizes, growing up at the rescue, she is used to puppies to adults, injured dogs to old grumpy dogs. She has been taught by the pack how to behave and communicate like a dog and so is a very dog socialized girl.
KAI can be a little wary of humans initially, but this is quite common and sometimes a good thing. Once she has accepted that you are safe then she is full of love and affection. She will gladly let you scratch her ear, give her belly rubs and will take treats gently from your hand.
We do not have cats at the rescue so I cannot say how she is with cats.
KAI would be great with an active family. One that understands the need of both physical and mental exercise and challenges. She would benefit greatly from basic and advanced obedience training with the family. This not only strengthens bonds, but allows both dog and family to learn and understand each others personalities, body language and temperament a lot more.
KAI is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm and tick disease tested NEGATIVE and is micro-chipped. She weighs around 60 pounds and has a date of birth of around 21 August 2013.
KAI is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $170.
