JAGER was saved from Pasadena, TX, animal care services, he was extremely emaciated, had an ear infection and tested STRONG positive for heart-worm disease.
Since being at the rescue JAGER has been checked out by our vet, given medication for his ear infection, he is eating a healthy diet, he LOVES to play with the other dogs, when they all start to howl - 3-4 times per day - he has a very DEEP howl, its eerily beautiful.
JAGER, handsome, stunning, BIG, loving, affectionate, playful, well mannered (although jumps a little when excited), he is generally submissive, but when he has his bone, he makes sure everyone knows it is his. He gets on great with all the other dogs, puppies and adults and he can be vocal when excited.
JAGER is neutered, core vaccines, rabies and microchipped.
JAGER is scheduled for his heart-worm disease treatment on 21/22 January and will be ready for his forever home at the end of the month.
JAGER is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue. His adoption donation is $300 - which doesn't even cover the cost of his heart-worm treatment.
GaDaH does adopt out of state, however, we require families to travel to San Antonio to meet and spend time with JAGER to be sure personalities are a match. If all is good then they can all travel home together as a family.
